The Congressional oversight panel has published a collection of roughly 70 photographs secured from the holdings of late convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the latest in a series of disclosure from a larger collection of over 95,000 images the body has secured from Epstein's property. It contains photographs of passages from the literary work Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured photos of female international passports.

This release arrives mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose each files related to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These new images pose more queries about what exactly the Justice Department has in its custody," said the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Disclosed

Some of the photographs made public on this week show Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates seen beside a woman whose identity is redacted; Steve Bannon seated at a table across from Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the newest affluent, prominent figures to be photographed in Epstein property photos disclosed by the House Oversight Committee - previously released images also depict US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the images is does not constitute evidence of any illegal activity, and a number of the pictured figures have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a statement released with the image disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide background information or timings for the photographs.

"Images were picked to furnish the American people with openness into a illustrative selection of the photographs obtained from the property, and to offer insights into Epstein's associates and his profoundly alarming activities," the announcement states.

The publication also features a number of photos of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita penned in black ink across various areas of a female's body, such as her chest, feet, hipbone, and back. Lolita tells the story of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

A particular excerpt from the work written across a female's upper body says, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a collection of photos of women's identification and official papers from states globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the details on the documents, including names and dates of birth, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee said in a press release that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

An additional image features Epstein seated at a table intimately flanked by three women whose identities have been obscured - one has her palm on Epstein's chest under his garment, and a second is bending to look at a nearby device. Epstein appears to be helping the third attach a piece of jewelry.

Another photograph released is a image of text messages from an unidentified individual who states they have been provided "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 per female".

Photo Publication Arrives Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The body has thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "both graphic and mundane," its press release on recently explained.

The Congressional committee first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein property provided to the body are distinct from what is commonly called "Epstein-related records". That material are records in the justice department's custody connected to its separate investigation into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President made law in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its records. The full nature of what is included in the DOJ's files is unclear, and it's expected that a significant portion of the content will be significantly censored, akin to House Oversight Committee materials
