FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
