"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in only three events recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better human being. He told me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
