Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Car Crash
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The influential game designer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
